How to get sailing certification?

Hi everyone. I've never been sailing before, but am very interested in learning. What local schools do you recommend for getting sailing certification? Should I get certified by US Sailing or by the American Sailing Association? What's the difference between small boat certification and keelboat certification? Any details are appreciated! Thanks for the help!

I really don't know but the Sailing School in Oriental, where Crew Clinic is being held, is pretty good from what I understand.
