City Island Yacht Club will be holding a series of seminars in the Spring and they have invited us to attend. This one is free! This is a great way to start your sailing season!

April 22 -- Rigging by Jeff Lazar

Come early to socialize and break bread with your friends—our new Steward will be ready and willing to offer food and drink to your liking. As space is limited, and this Series generates a significant number of attendees, we highly recommend calling in advance and advising the Club of number attending and your diner intentions. This seminar is directed primarily to racers and those interested in sailboat rigging! Please put in your reply if you are arriving early for dinner and be sure to call the club and reserve a table!

TRANSPORTATION INFO:

Express Bus:
The BxM7B bus leaves 24th and Madison Ave. at 4:45 and 5:15 pm for City Island. Check the schedule for other stops from 24th to 86th St. The fare is five dollars payable by Metrocard, not cash. It picks up passengers going uptown.

The Lexington Ave. local:
The#6 train runs all night. Take it to the last stop, Pelham Bay Station

The BX 29 bus runs to and from City Island back to the #6 Train at Pelham Bay Station until midnight. After that it would be by cab.
