Introduction
Have always loved sailing, being on the water, took ASA101 & 103 and some other lessons this summer, have sailed with friends. Want to do more sailing, improve my skills and expand my knowledge, and meet new friends for sailing. (I also scuba dive.)
Are you interested in racing and if so, what type of experience do you have? Willing to learn?
No experience with racing but willing to learn.
Are you looking for crew? Are you willing to crew?
I am willing and eager to crew.
How much sailing have you done? What type of sailing would you like to do this season?
Over the years I have sailed with friends on boats of various sizes. As noted above, I became more serious about sailing this summer and have been taking courses. I am hoping to take a navigation course this fall, winter or spring.
Do you own a boat? If so, what kind, and where is it docked? If not, do you rent, charter, or use a sailing club?
Do not own a boat. Have rented with an instructor. I have also gone on chartered boats with more experienced sailors. Am considering joining a sailing club in spring 2010.
What sailing courses have you taken? What certifications do you hold?
Certifications from ASA101 (Basic Sailing) and 103 (Basic Coastal Cruising). Some private lessons. As an aside, I am also a scuba diver (advanced and rescue diver certifications).
