Introduction
I am originally from California and did a fair amount of sailing on my dad's boat- a 36 foot Ericson named Keena. I joined the group to rekindle my love of sailing and now organize it so that other members can do the same.
Are you interested in racing and if so, what type of experience do you have? Willing to learn?
Racing is a fantastic way to fine tune one's skills. Although a novice, I'd love to do more racing this year now that my schedule will allow for it.
Are you looking for crew? Are you willing to crew?
I'm absolutely looking to crew!
How much sailing have you done? What type of sailing would you like to do this season?
I've done quite a bit of sailing, although admittingly I feel much better after taking the Basic Sailing Course through SEAS in Bergen County. I would love to try my hand at racing, but will day or night sail whenever the opportunity arises.
Do you own a boat? If so, what kind, and where is it docked? If not, do you rent, charter, or use a sailing club?
After a decade, cross-country relocation, a post as the Sailing meetup organizer and finding the one who makes all my dreams a reality, I now own my father's boat and look forward to bringing members on board- once she's on the east coast!
What sailing courses have you taken? What certifications do you hold?
Recently took the SEAS Basic Sailing Course to freshen up! It was fantastic!
