Introduction

i teach sailing at the AMC Fire Island Cabin and run sailing adventures around the world. I am always looking to introduce people to sailing at Fire Island or on a Caribbean sailing adventure!

Are you interested in racing and if so, what type of experience do you have? Willing to learn?

Mainly cruising and recreational, except I am competitive in a Sunfish

Are you looking for crew? Are you willing to crew?

I welcome sailors to join the AMC Sailing Program at the cabin at Fire Island. we have 3 sloops, 5 sunfish, a good sailing instruction program. Boat use is free for members!

How much sailing have you done? What type of sailing would you like to do this season?

I have been sailing since 1979, Lots of Sunfish (My favorite) and lots of charter sailing adventures to BVI, Belize, St Vincent, Greece, Croatia, and British Columbia. I want to do an ocean crossing.

Do you own a boat? If so, what kind, and where is it docked? If not, do you rent, charter, or use a sailing club?

Don't own a boat. i love to sail at AMC on the Great South Bay, or charter around the world.

What sailing courses have you taken? What certifications do you hold?

I am a USCG Licensed Master and US Sailing Association Certified Small Boat, and Keel Boat Instructor.
