Unfortunately I can't attend this event - but as I'm a Captain I'm always looking for crew for my J24. Since I have a spot open this season, Meetup is the perfect place for me to meet my next new crewmember...

The best way to find captains and crew for the coming season is to attend meetings. Captains always give preference to people they first meet in person. Many from last year became regulars on race boats even with no sailing experience. Price includes American and Italian heros, soft drinks, snacks and raffle ticket for great prizes including an ASA sailing certification course !

"Great turnout for such a rainy night! Steve's lecture was very informative and the group is very friendly."

  • AlanCIYC
"Thanks to the true ,hardy sailors that aren't stopped by rain and came last night. I was glad to see old friends and make new ones. Steve's knowledge of sailing is impressive and his ability to teach to all levels experience makes the physics of sailing understandable. I enjoyed Tara's talk and think as sailors we have a special, vested interest in keeping the oceans healthy."

  • Patrick McGovern
"Heavy weather probably held back the crowds but Steve did a great job with a diverse audience."

  • barbara
"Great presentations and good to see so many old and new friends. I'm ready for warm weather and sailing!!!"

  • SteveM
"I met a lot of boats owners. The sail trim lecture was very interesting and I think the speaker did a good job in making it appeal to people at varying sailing experience levels. The Conserve our Ocean speaker could have been better prepared, but it was interesting and very relevant nonetheless."
