Hello, I've been sailing for many years, 8 of those on my own boats. I finished the refit of my boat and am anxious to start doing some local cruising again, either singlhanded or with crew.
Weekends are probably the best time, however I am fortunate to have a somewhat flexible schedule.
I have taken numerous power squadron courses (basic boating, cruising, piloting, navigation, seamanship) and received the corresponding certificates.
I am primarily a cruiser and my boat is set up for such, however I would be willing to crew on a race boat.
Always on the lookout for good crew, especially for local cruising (from New Jersey to Maine and the Hudson Highlands areas).
I own a 1986 Irwin Citation 35.5 which I have completely refit. I have been sailing for many years and was a seamanship instructor for the Greenwich Power and Sail Squadron. That said, there is always more to learn and more experience to gain. I plan on going for my USCG Captains License this spring.
