SEAS is a group of Sailors. We are here to teach you how to sail and to match Boat Owners with Crew. We give classroom sessions in New Jersey and sometimes NYC. Class includes two days of sailing instruction on the water to practice what you have learned. All instructors are Red Cross Certified. Lesson fees are very reasonable. We also own a 27' Catalina Sloop docked on the Hudson River in Haverstraw that we race on Wednesday nights. Our members sail the Catalina the rest of the week. Once …

Windrafting is a new sport (see www.windrafting.com). Imagine sledding on water, prone, facing the waves. The Windraft uses a foot-operated rudder and has an outrigger fitted with pontoons for hiking out against the forces of the wind. The Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc. is an organization based in Beacon, New York that seeks to protect the Hudson River and surrounding wetlands and waterways through advocacy and public education.
